A Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for setting and executing the technology vision, ensuring seamless digital lending, and driving tech-led transformation to achieve the company's business objectives.
Core Responsibilities
• Formulate and implement the company's technology strategy in alignment with its business and regulatory objectives.
• Lead the architecture, design, and development of digital lending platforms, loan origination (LOS), and loan management systems (LMS) tailored for vehicle finance operations.
• Oversee front-end platforms (web, mobile apps), back-end systems, and integrations (APIs) with banks, KYC providers, credit bureaus, GSTN, and other digital infrastructure.
• Ensure the technology landscape meets compliance requirements laid down by the RBI and maintains high security, data privacy, and risk management standards.
• Pioneer the adoption of AI/ML technologies for credit scoring, fraud detection, and customer risk assessment to improve lending efficiency.
• Build and mentor an in-house technology team while managing external vendors and partners to deliver scalable technology solutions.
Key Duties
• Manage large, multidisciplinary teams; oversee the product lifecycle and ensure robust software delivery and IT operations.
• Set technology budgets, monitor key performance indicators, and optimize IT spend for maximum ROI.
• Implement quality assurance, disaster recovery, and data protection processes.
• Gather feedback from stakeholders, iterating technology solutions based on market needs and business goals.
• Represent the technology function on the executive team, communicating tech strategy to stakeholders and investors.
Desired Profile
• 10–18 years’ experience in NBFC, banking, fintech, or related tech roles, with substantive leadership experience.
• Expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, APIs, security, compliance, and emerging fin-tech platforms.
• Strong grasp of digital lending, payment systems, regulatory guidelines, and consumer-facing app development.
• Track record of leading digital transformation and handling high-volume, transactional tech environments.
Skills and Qualifications
• B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; business/management education (MBA) is a plus.
• Leadership, strategic thinking, project management, and strong problem-solving abilities.
